# Lumina Almanac catalogue — 21 September 2026

This is an independently maintained fan reference, not an official game database.

## Coverage

210 obtainable Pictos: 193 base-game entries and 17 from the Thank You Update.
117 weapon entries: 103 base-game entries, 13 update entries and one NG+ Baguette entry. Gustave and Verso share a pool; Baguette is represented once even though its variants differ by character.

Names and coverage were checked against the factual item indexes at:
- https://game-checklists.com/expedition33/all-weapons.html

The 233-record Picto source includes 23 additional records absent from the obtainable-item checklist. Those records are excluded, rather than presented as collectable items. Spelling is normalized to Energizing; the search accepts Energising too. Location fields contain area names; detailed acquisition instructions remain at the linked sources.

## Dataset provenance

Picto categories, costs and passive effects: fmarlats/picto-builder, MIT licence, snapshot 368a05a47ece5929a341592d57eae7f62e1f0c57. Each entry retains its original Gamer Guides detail URL. Numeric strings were normalized, level-stat tables omitted, editorial text for Painted Power replaced with a concise factual description, and unavailable records excluded.

Weapon elements and scaling attributes: patitos-fortune/expedition-33-game-companion, MIT-licensed repository, snapshot f7eb5ad40d56fee867a934b18ec0a25b7d9e5b50, data/weapons.json. This dataset cites Game8. The Game8 index was independently fetched to resolve detail links and detect an image-alt-text parsing error: “Guleson Baguette” is Baguette, not a separate weapon. Duplicate Gustave records were merged. Weapon power and scaling grades are intentionally omitted because these depend on level. The Baguette scaling field says “varies by character”. Spelling aliases include Esqium/Esquium and Seashellum/Seashelum; Angerim is used instead of the imported Anglerim typo.

## Personal recommendations and corrections

Tim supplied the build-priority outline. Recommendation prose was rewritten and cross-referenced with the existing character builds. It is personal guidance, not an official tier list. The full catalogue and the personal recommendations are separate modules.

- Painted Power removes the 9,999 damage cap.
- Charging Attack adds 15% of one Gradient charge.
- Charging Critical, Charging Mark and Rewarding Mark have once-per-turn limits.
- Shortcut has a once-per-battle limit, so Last Chance does not create an infinite loop.
- Marking Shots has a 20% chance; Free Aim shots consume AP.
- Each Energizing Start variant grants +1 opening AP.
- Base Attack +1 Hit corresponds to Combo Attack I / II / III. No independent “Exposing Mark” record was found; it is not invented as an item.
- Medalum scales with Defense and Agility; Trebuchim with Vitality and Luck.

Selected weapon mechanics and acquisition routes were checked against these item references and rewritten:

The catalogue is a static snapshot. It does not silently update or request third-party data when a visitor opens the guide.

## Build budgets — 22 September 2026

Eight personal build plans now distinguish essential, important and optional effects. These priorities are editorial recommendations for the named loadouts, not objective requirements for every playstyle. Costs come from the same catalogue as the Codex. Each tier independently assigns its three highest-cost effects to physical Picto slots to minimize LP usage; the other mode calculates all passives as paid Luminas. No passive is counted twice. This does not claim to optimize Picto stat bonuses, which depend on the player's available Picto levels. Physical Picto conflicts across party members are explicitly described.

Rules checked against:
- https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps5/469495-clair-obscur-expedition-33/faqs/81883/pictos-and-lumina-complete-list
- https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps5/469495-clair-obscur-expedition-33/faqs/82352/companions

Lune's former Shield claim is corrected: Protecting Heal supplies Shell. Sciel's core includes AP generation as well as Cheater for the two support skills; Rewarding Mark is not treated as income from non-attacking support skills.

## Team review — 22 September 2026

Supersedes the individual Picto allocation advice above when a team context is selected. Painted Power is an explicit essential endgame baseline in all eight loadouts, including support characters for their damage turns. Its passive does not strengthen non-damaging buffs or healing.

Team allocations now use an exact capacity-constrained assignment over all three members: at most three equipped Pictos per character and one physical copy per unique Picto across the team. Each tier uses the same tier for all teammates. Shared learned Luminas remain allowed and are paid per character. Alternative builds and the selected tier remain synchronized in memory while navigating; the standard teams can be restored. Calculations optimize total LP savings, not unknown item-level stats or an individual character's available LP cap.

Review corrected factual mistakes in the earlier skill cards: Fortune's Fury 5 AP (next-turn buff, not first-hit-only); Marking Shot 2 AP (weapon element); End Bringer 9 AP (Rank A stun-reapplication condition); Steeled Strike 9 AP; Strike Storm 7 AP; Typhoon 8 AP and turn-start healing; Lightning Dance 7 AP; Mezzo Forte reapplies the current stance. No unconditional stun-lock or universal opening burst is promised.

Verso is the planned Mark source. Double Mark is prioritized on the character applying Mark; repeated copies are not described as a stacking party bonus. Sciel's attack-triggered utility is optional for later turns rather than funding her opening buffs. The Apocalypse opener has no reliable Burn source; the Beast plan includes Monoco but needs AP/Gradient buildup.
